Edited 2/26/2003:
As I say on the ripping to bin-cue page, I can't make an absolutely perfect backup using this method (or any other, while we're at it). For me (maybe only for me, I can't say for sure), the data for audio tracks on a burned cd is pushed back 272 bytes. I don't know if this actually affects the audio or what, but the disc seems to be fine in every other way, and without knowing this, you'd probably play the game without ever noticing. So until I can figure out what the hell is going on, this works better than anything else.

Programs used:

CDRWin 4.0A or Nero Burning Rom 5

1. Start CDRWin. Select Record Disc.

2. Click Load Cuesheet... Select the cue file for you image and click Open.

3. Click Start Recording.

7. When CDRWin is done burning, click Close and close the main window.

You should now have a copy of your cd that's the same as the original. Go play with it now.

Notes:
If Test Mode is checked, CDRWin will pretend to write to the cd, so you'll still have a blank cd when it's done. Raw Mode probably shouldn't be used (if your burner even can do it) even if you have a raw image, so don't worry about it. Sega CD's only have 1 session and you should be writing to a blank cd, so don't bother with Open New session. Underrun Protection (like Burn-Proof on Plextor drives) is up to you. I'm currently burning to 16x cd's at 12x with my 24x Plextor drive, and I haven't had any problems.

Nero can also burn most bin-cue's. Go read the last steps of restoring from iso-mp3.
